I am an experienced practising teacher (M.A English Literature and a B.Ed) with more than 16 years teaching experience, offering high quality individual tuition in English.

Having taught at all age and ability levels in various schools in Leeds and Bradford, I have thorough knowledge of national curriculum and examination syllabuses.
As a tutor I have coached students from many of the comprehensive and private schools in and around Leeds. It has been rewarding to help pupils achieve better than their predicted grades. I have also helped many pupils procure places in Leeds Private Schools, a few were awarded scholarships.
Being a parent, I am familiar with the hopes and anxieties of parents and teenagers.

English Matters! We all know it! A key to improved performance in all subjects, it helps instil confidence.

A firm believer that each child has potential, I see myself as a facilitator who can help to unlock those potentials.

My aim is to make them move towards complete self reliance. To make them discover and celebrate their strengths.

Pupils need encouragement, understanding and proper learning methodology to make them attain those right grades.

I am patient but encourage pupils to have high expectations from themselves. I would like to see them believe in themselves and “not to yield” (...never give up...as effort is everything!)

Constant motivation to take up reading books as a leisure activity( I always tell my pupils if they become voracious readers most of their “english matters” will be taken care of!
