Lessons are normally an hour long, given at my home in Alwoodley, North Leeds.

During the first session, an assessment will be carried out- strengths and weaknesses identified. This along with any other feedback available will assist in producing individual learning plan. This also enables me to efficiently organise future lessons.

Though lessons are prepared in advance, I am happy to accommodate any other pressing matter that the pupil might want to discuss.

Achievement is natural and fun with pupils working at their own pace. They are engaged in purposeful planned activity designed to move them towards increased confidence in the subject through stimulating lessons

Regular homework to reinforce learning is given as an option focusing on improving planning and writing skills, extending reading or practising exam tasks

The courses offered are individually tailored to help pupils with

• Reading with understanding( comprehension)
• Writing for different purposes and for audiences
• Basic skills: spellings, punctuation, grammar and handwriting
• Exam preparation with practice of previous exam papers and exemplar studies.

Regular feedbacks about progress. Concepts will be explained; practiced and consolidated
